Who we are

I’m Ruhee Baig, founder of That’s a Wrap and Silver Stage. The inspiration for Silver Stage comes from two very special people in my life — my grandmother and my dear friend Renee Sieburth.

Renee has been my neighbour since 2006, and we became close friends during the pandemic when I offered to help with her groceries. Over tea and snacks, we built a friendship filled with laughter, stories, and shared wisdom. Now in her 90s, Renee lives in a senior living community. During one of our visits, when I was considering a career change, she told me about a woman who used to organize wonderful events where residents could gather, learn, and have fun together. That person had since left, and the community missed having someone dedicated to creating those experiences. Renee reminded me how much I love connecting with people of all ages and encouraged me to think about it.

Her words brought back memories of my grandmother, who played a central role in raising me. Later in life, when she lived in a long-term care facility, the events and activities offered there became invaluable — not just for her, but for our whole family. They provided comfort, joy, and connection, especially during times when visits weren’t possible.

Carrying that same spirit forward, I now lead each event alongside our small but passionate team. Our mission is to create experiences that bring warmth, engagement, and enrichment to residents’ lives.

From themed parties and hands-on workshops to tech-help sessions and pet therapy days, every event is designed to spark conversation, laughter, and connection.

Silver Stage is the newest chapter of That’s a Wrap - Gifts, Decor & Events created to bring connection, joy, and unforgettable moments to senior living communities. While That’s a Wrap has spent years celebrating life’s big beginnings with weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries, we wanted to create something just as special for a different chapter of life.

We’re here to create days worth remembering, stories worth telling, and smiles that last.
